Breaking News: Japanese gov’s trying to stop citizen measuring radiation
Posted by Mochizuki on September 11th, 2011 · 3 Comments
On this morning’s NHK “Sunday Debate” program, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary-General Nobuteru Ishihara stated, “Geiger counters costing between 40,000 and 50,000 yen ($500-600) provide patchy measurements. We have to try and stop citizens from taking their own radiation measurements.” It seems that he really doesn’t like the fact that citizens are taking their own radiation readings. Even if the figures are patchy, the measurements still tell us correctly whether the radiation level is high or low.

Breaking News: Public abuse against people
It has been exactly 6 months and today was 9/11 in JST.
Major demonstrations were held in Tokyo ,Chiba , Osaka ,Miyagi ,and Shimane etc.
In Tokyo, more than 11,000 people attended and 2,000 surrounded the building of the ministry of economy.
Police prepared a huge barricade in front of Shinjuku station, where is the center of anti-nuc demonstration.
They also brought right wing groups to control the people.
Japanese right wing is strongly connected to Yakuza. They go everywhere and abuse citizens for money.
Today police abused people with violence.
At least more than 17 people were arrested for no reason.
Their strategy was to have right wing provoke citizen, catch the people, and have the right wing lynch (detained?) the rest of people.
One man was called “criminal” by right wing for no reason.
Police came and arrested the citizen.
While he was being arrested, his wife was lynched (detained?) by the right wing group.
Movie:
Now that it’s been 6 months,NOTHING has been improved at Fukushima and they still keep concealing crucial info ,asking for stopping all the nuc plants is totally rational.
We don’t even need a word of pro-nuc. They are all categorized to be mental.
There is no right of police to abuse normal citizen to ask for a totally right thing.
and Fukushima children are being killed by the government.
Their behavior is all against the basic human rights ,and I have zero idea why they don’t arrest anyone from Tepco.

Bin Ladin couldn’t kill democracy, but Japanese government killed it very legally.

Breaking News: First Do No Harm
Our previous post about the Miyagi Mom who lost her unborn child to Fukushima Daiichi and may be losing her precious 2 yo even as her own health falls to pieces is the flip-side of the terrible story in this post.
With our facebook crowd-sourced human translation project, we are able to bring you this account of a pediatrician who reports on the conditions that doctors are facing as they get pressure to not even talk about the dangers their patients are facing.
Doctors the world over ostensibly commit to and follow a basic code of medical ethics that spans back many 1000s of years and many cultures. One prime rule is “Primum non nocere” which translates to “First Do No Harm”.
This code is being destroyed in Japan for the sake of profits – to protect nuclear based profits at all costs.. and make no mistake – those costs are unborn children, small toddlers, little kids who would hold your hand and look into your eyes and expect truth and love, demanding what is theirs, and what is not afforded them or their parents by the government that is killing them.
I have put the English translation first, Japanese text second. I have not done a copyedit on the translation because – in a way – it feels more immediate without all the transformation into native speaking colloquialisms.
[Please note that the Japanese government and corporations are increasing their censoring activities so putting these stories into the public domain is a political act and a humane act - our brothers and sisters are suffering - it is up to us to continue spreading these stories by sharing on facebook, twitter, your blogs, anywhere you meet people who might hear the story.]
Location: Fukushima City
Evacuation already, is what’s appropriate.
The best answer. For now, children’s clinical symptoms is not yet published.
But my mother who is a pediatrician actually, has observed as much: at minimum, one in five children will be diagnosed with thyroid cancer…naturally, the radiation exposure and contamination after the sequence of explosions up to the 22nd [of March] was the culprit…quite probable that that time was the worst of the [public health] problem…. [She was] deeply shocked by Chernobyl Heart [and commented that] I have never seen such concentration of deformity in one facility (in her 40 years of life as a doctor), and prompted her to sign the cancer insurance contract for my nieces and nephews, though [she maintains that] for now, there is only such company as Aflac that covers children’s cancer, and her concern continues as $ will be useless in a several years. Half way [in her mind], she is resolved for the preparedness for [her own] cancer.
Next March comes, she will close her pediatric medicine practice (no children around, no patients), and is planning for the evacuation of my nieces and nephews.
Parents in medical and/or related fields are enthusiastic of evacuating children regardless of the cost and so forth, but schools teachers are no good. Makes me wonder if they purposefully facilitate internal exposure in children: mandating outdoor activities in school yards, commencing physical education classes, and locally produced and locally consumed school lunches. While children try to refuse those. Outdoor Potato Boil, when it’s not even requested? [What schools are doing] is incomprehensible as there is no consequence in not implementing a Potato Boil or physical education for the year.
This constitution [of attitude] has not changed at all from that of the teachers who pushed the children to the war zones in the Pacific War [or the "Pacific Front" of Japan's imperial invasions].
My mother recommended not to nurse the babies, but the Association of Doctors complained against her that such talk causes the ob-gyn section’s loss of [the admission of expenting mothers'] homecoming childbirth.Reluctantly, she holds her tongue, forbidden to speak up. She simply tell the patients to be aware of potential swelling in the areas of thyroid glands. Pediatric sections also are pressured by the Association of Doctors. Miyagi prefecture is [practicing] complete [information] cover-up. The Prefecture South is dangerous, and cut off to be discarded. That governor is a defense school graduate, and naturally a yes-man. Sendai’s posting is 80m. Totally no good. I am hoping for the reconciliation of the detailed and chronological records of radioactive emissions of the Genpatsu (nuclear reactor) accident from the 11th to 22nd [of March].

Breaking News: A mom in Miyagi living Fukushima Hell
Posted by admin on September 9th, 2011 · 3 Comments
The following is a heart-rending personal account by a mother in Miyagi Japan about the terrible things that have happened in her family since March 11, 2011 when Fukushima Daiichi became a tremendous agent of death.
We provide an English translation immediately below and the original Japanese below that.
How do you do?
Please excuse my sudden submission of email.
Since my friend introduced me to your blog, I have always referred to it.
Please excuse my sudden submission of email.
Since my friend introduced me to your blog, I have always referred to it.
I am a housewife living in Miyagi prefecture.
Since this earthquake disaster, I am exhausted mentally and physically due to a succession of unlikely incidents.
The successive occurrence concerns me, though it might be unrelated to the Fukushima Genpatsu Accident, here I’d like to email reporting it.
There are three phenomena which I would like to report.
First, I was pregnant at the time of the earthquake disaster. On March11th, at 9 weeks of pregnancy, it was the time of morning sickness. As it was “tabeoso” (needing to eat constantly in order to avoid nausea), I consumed whatever I could put my hand on and was taking care of my two year old son and my nieces outdoor in good weather while the family went to the disaster clean up work.
When May arrived, I went to the prenatal care testing, to which I was unable to go since the earthquake disaster at a hospital, and there, anencephaly of the fetus was detected.
Due to the progression of pregnancy, the immediate hospitalization for an abortion was inevitable.
I was devastated as my child had been affected by this one out of tens of thousands deformity.
Thereafter, menstruation restarted, yet the usual 28 day cycle became 33 day, the cramps are extremely strong, and recently i became aware of the symptoms that are connected to endometritis.
I have a two year old and is focused to protect this child, so we tried the best to spend the time indoors and had been mindful of the origin of beverages and food.
However in July, when a little healing from the sadness regained my poise, the two year old came down with the sudden onset of strong abdominal pain, then diarrhea and bloody stools. This is the second incident.
We rushed to the hospital, and the diagnosis was intussusception. Anesthetization was given immediately to treat the symptoms. Fortunately, it didn’t require a surgery.
After the earthquake disaster, I asked the doctor about the child’s nasal discharge which continued for two months, it was dismissed as either just a cold or a weak symptom of an allergy. His intussusception this time was explained to me that even though the rarity of onset at the age of two was recognized, well, it did happen rarely.
Why my children are threatened by such life’s dangers? The thought made me deeply depressed.
The third incident is a sudden death of our pet dog at my parents’ home last week. We live in a walking distance from my parents’.
The cause of death, cardiac hypertrophy.
The dog loved playing with the rocks in the garden and played always rolling in the dirt.
It was hard to believe that it lost a vigor suddenly and died within a day as it was playing hard and eating well until the day before.
Three incidents, each of its own phenomenon.
These may not be related to radiation and really is a coincidence.
These may not be related to radiation and really is a coincidence.
But I would like to report as the unlikelihood of probabilities of these succeeding events makes me suspicious.
Breaking News: Fukushima in recriticality
Posted by Mochizuki on September 9th, 2011 · 14 Comments
At four different places in Japan,Iodine 131 was detected between 15th-25th August.
The half life time of Iodine 131 is about 8 days.
It’s natural to think Fukushima got into the recriticality state.
2) Between 8/25~9/6,they also detected 2,300 ~ 4,800 Bq/kg of Iodine 131.

Having Iodine 131 detected in four different places nearly at once,it’s very likely that Fukushima nuc plant has got into recriticality state again.
For now,no public announcement was made as always. They will announce it when it’s too late.
Now it is not sure that in which reactor the recriticality is starting, but from a source,it might be in the spent fuel pool in the third reactor or the forth reactor ,however it’s still an unconfirmed information.
It has been 6 months, but nothing has been improved. Still even a temperature indicator is not properly set at each reactor. It’s almost 100% sure that fuel rods have melted out and started sinking into the ground in some of the reactors.
It’s rational that recriticality will keep happening continuously for decades ,until all of fuel rods are taken out and kept safe.
The future of this blog is bright.
Breaking News: THE camera guy showed himself up
Posted by Mochizuki on September 8th, 2011 · 1 Comment
The camera guy showed himself up and explained why he did that.
“Begging” for Tepco not to punish his ex employer,he criticizes their labor environment.
He was a temporary worker for one of the sub contract companies under Tepco.
I looked into the exif data of those pictures attached, but all the data were deleted.
The only info I managed to obtain was
The IP is 125.100.100.19
Web host is Samurai Factory Inc.
ISP is U’s Communications Corp.
Web host is Samurai Factory Inc.
ISP is U’s Communications Corp.
He spends most of the space on “begging and apologizing”,and does not mention how it is in the plant site (cracks, radioactive steam etc..)
He criticizes the poor labor environment and manipulation of the working contract etc..
However,it doesn’t seem like that is what he wanted to take the risk of being thrown into the reactor for.
It sounds like he criticizes “U S” to treat them (and HIM) as heros.
He carefully planned the whole thing just to point his finger toward the camera in short.
It was nothing but his philosophical message.
From his way of writing Japanese,he sounds like early/mid twenties with ok education.
He sounds very scared of having attention from “the society”,using terms and phrases that he is not used to speaking not to be “told off by adults”.
From the way of taking pictures with random digits written on paper,he is familiar to Japanese internet society, such as 2ch.
His plan was aimed at his fellows and people who treat nuc workers like hero.
More than half of his pictures are the prayers and the messages to cheer the workers up.
I assume he wanted to explain they are symbolic to show we think the nuc workers to be people in a movie.
I can’t help saying,”so what ?”
I personally wanted him to take pictures of the plants around the site, data, nuc buildings and row survey data etc..
but his attempt shows, everyone could do it because even he managed to do.
In that meaning, his achievement is as meaningful as the “discovery” of Christopher Columbus.

To Mr. @KinositaKouta, I continue. “my husband who works in SHINJUKU has started to feel “numbness” on his left hand and foot since the end of June. When he stayed in SHIMANE for a week, the symptoms stopped. However the night when he returned to TOKYO, he said “it sounds like I am lying, my numbness begans again.” It is scary.

@KinositaKouta: I live in a hotspot in the Kanto area. My daughter came back from an overnight school trip and told me that three children had nosebleeds between this morning and noon. They walked for one hour each way from school to their accommodation, and played on a jungle gym and did walk exercises in the woods. I asked the school to stop it but my plea fell on deaf ears.

[Radioactive deer]
Tochigi prefecture announced on the 7th that radioactive cesium above the current standard (500Bq/kg) was detected from the wild deer meat caught in Nikkou City.
According to Tochigi prefecture, 590-2,037 Bq/kg were detected from three deer that were caught between August 25th and September 3rd. Nikkou Chapter of Tochigi Friends of Hunting had harvested the flesh sample and ordered for an independent analysis at a private laboratory.
There is no trafficking of hunted deer meat into the market. Prefecture’s Natural Environment Department is requesting to the members of the organization to refrain from consuming deer meat, commenting that “[deer] eating contaminated grass may be the cause”.
From wildlife, the radioactive cesium above the current standard has been detected from the boar meat in Fukushima and Miyagi prefecture.

Yomiuri Online journal : we need electricity. Stop talking about “anti-nuke” as new PM support this idea, not like ex-PM kan. PM Noda call nuclear energy as “Blood of the economy”.
“Of running the country’s 54 nuclear reactors in 11 units. Can not operate nuclear power plants in operation by the end again is reduced to six. The spring is zero, the loss of 30% of the total electric generating capacity before the earthquake.
If that happens, the rate of 9% on average nationwide power shortages next summer, highly sensitive in vitro KEPCO nuclear power plant to reach 19%. Will inevitably limit the implementation of more stringent power this year.”
and
“Emerging economies such as China and India are planning a major expansion of nuclear power plants. Japan’s exports of nuclear power, technology to provision of safe operation, it should help to reduce the risk of a nuclear accident.”

[Tokyo told to prepare for massive earthquake]
[Impending destruction of the capital - we ask former Prime Minister Kan.]
Former Prime Minister Naoto Kan, who resigned his post on the 2nd of September, granted this newspaper an exclusive interview. In it he he reveals that as they struggled to get a handle on the situation immediately following the accident at TEPCO’s Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant, rocked by successive hydrogen explosions, he felt ‘the situation seemed to be escalating to the point that every last person might have to leave Tokyo’ – he feared the impending destruction of the capital. Due to his personal experiences during the accident, his stance has changed from his previous belief that ‘well it’s Japanese engineering so everything will be alright’, and this is also connected to his wish for ‘the abandonment of Japans reliance on Nuclear power’ as announced in July.
Former Prime Minister Kan stated that the reason he stormed into the TEPCO head office on the 15th of March, four days after the accident, was that ‘around 3am, Minister for Trade and Enterprise Banri Kaeda indicated to me that “TEPCO were intending to abandon the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant” ‘. ‘(Between plants Dai-ichi and Dai-ni) there were ten separate reactors and eleven spent fuel pools, and had they been left alone, within hours or perhaps tens of hours, the water would have emptied and they would have rapidly melted down’. According to Kan, it was due to this sense of impending crisis that the government and TEPCO created their integrated crisis response center at head office.
Moreover, “Had they abandoned the plant, perhaps there would not be a soul left in Tokyo today. Certainly Japan’s future viability as a nation was resting on that critical moment. Many times worse than Chernobyl, probably several tens of Chernobyl’s worth of radioactive substances could have been released” Kan explained. This is the kind of first hand experience which led Kan to rethink his ‘Japanese engineering – no problem!’ attitude, towards a society no longer dependent on nuclear energy.
He said the reason behind his May 6th call for the suspension operations that Chubu Electric’s Hamaoka plant was that ‘there is research which indicated that the probability of an earthquake on the Tokai Fault is extremely hight, and should an accident occurred, Tokyo and Osaka would be completely cut off from one another, putting an enormous strain on the Japanese economy and society’.
He also explained reason behind the sudden decision to subject Kyushu Electric’s Genkai nuclear plant, (located in the town of Genkai in Saga prefecture) to fresh safety checks before restarting operations. “Without my knowledge, and following the same processes as before, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA; a part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)) alone tried to approve a restart. I told [NISA] that this would not be sufficient to secure the support of the nation’s citizens,” he said, criticizing METI’s handling of the issue. Regarding solar and other forms of renewable energy, he said, “Despite the industrial potential [of renewable energy], for thirty years the electricity industry and METI have shut it out. How do we break through that barrier? I want to give it my best shot” he said.
Kan also expressed the view that restarting operations and the nuclear fuel cycle at the Monju fast breeder reactor (located in Tsuruga, Fukui prefecture) would be ‘technically very difficult.’ ‘The time is right for a fundamental review’.

Breaking News: TEPCO watching us in stealth mode
Posted by admin on September 7th, 2011 · 11 Comments
This is the site admin- Nika – writing today with some interesting stuff Iori and I wanted to share with you all. We share because its sunshine on the murky corporate nuclear deep that pervades these dark times.
Because Iori had to set up this new blog due to a possible DDOS attack at his old blog that effectively shut him down – we watch our traffic blogs for signs of trouble.
There is a thriving industry that gets paid very very well to surveil the web for content that might or might not be of concern to various corporate interests. You may find hits on your blog from such companies even (or especially?) if all you write about is the transcendent qualities of a fresh twinkie.
Some of those companies do it openly. They are not breaking any laws and the information seems to be considered public domain.
Some companies prefer to do this surveillance cryptically and what we will show you today is just such action by a company – Dream Train, inc. – that has been owned in the past by TEPCO – is currently owned by Mitsubishi – company that not only makes cars – it makes nuclear reactors in its Heavy Industries division. Needless to say, the Japanese politicians are deeply invested in helping Mitsubishi and other companies export nuclear power plants as a growth strategy for Japan (sad and part of the whole death cult/disaster capitalism that is going on right now).
Also, towards the end, I will show you a document that puzzles me about the ownership of the company in question.
Ok, let me walk you through it.
Today we noticed an odd hit, shown below.
It was odd to me because of the org and the fitness and I had a free moment – I clicked it http://www.pjutaro.jdns.org/osobnj/fitness.html
Its a dead link.
I drilled into the stats a bit more…
I did a whois on the IP to get more info on this Dream Train, Inc.
That gives us a hit in Tokyo, in Funabashi. Its not terribly informative because its a partial record – I had to go to the APNIC registry with the IP address…
Ahh – now we are getting somewhere – the hit belongs to an internet provider called Dream Train Inc at the address shown above.
Why are we getting nonsense hits from this internet provider? Why would they hide themselves with such a crude method. Who owns it?
Google tells us a bit more….
Mitsubishi owns it now, according to this page that I grabbed in the image above.
A bit more googling reveals the following:
Who owns it? Mitsubishi or FreeBit?
We find also…
So TEPCO owned Dream Train previous to Mitsubishi and FreeBit – or does it still own it?
TEPCO owns a LOT of Japanese corporations – it has played big in the internet space. Thats very handy when it comes to controlling the flow of information into and out of Japan. Doesnt hurt that TEPCO is essentially the largest investor in almost all the media streams into and out of Japan.
TEPCO’s 2008 annual report shares the following:
But a 2011 risk analysis by Ernst & Young, found at this link (PDF), indicates that TEPCO owns almost all of this company.
Confusing right? I wonder how many other visits we get from companies with complex/convoluted ownership leading back to TEPCO.
Thankfully, this blog, although written by Iori, is based outside of Japan.

Why does the government try to downplay the seriousness of the nuclear crisis? The answer is simple. It is not because of the compensation liability. It is because they are afraid that if the truth were to come out it would threaten the existence of Tokyo as Japan’s capital, it would call into question Japan’s viability as a nation, the country would suffer a disastrous loss of international confidence, and the economy would be exposed to a simultaneous “triple plunge” (in the yen’s value, stock prices and bond prices) followed by stagflation. Steep rises in food prices would cause a large number of people to starve, and Japan would be unable to recover. The government knows that the contamination from the accident is that serious, and it’s the reason they try to minimize it.

In the case Gman is a person here the translation: Some years ago, to unmask the origin of the food, NHK broadcasted the “G-man” report in which one he testified “we got the whole results of DNA test of rise from several supermarket of Tokyo and 30~40% of rise from different origin place was found mixed”.

First time, they detected cesium from the highest brand Koshihikari in Tochigi -> 21 bq/kg
55 bq/kg (from “Koganemochi brand”)
They will sell because the national “legal” limit is 500 bq/kg.
Ph.D. Takeda talks,we shouldn’t take more than 14 bq/kg.

In 300km area from Fukushima (Tokyo is about 250km from Fukushima),a Japanese citizen found unusual amount of mutated cicada.
People were worried about cicada in this early summer because they were unusually quiet, however, they came out as usual.
Yet,something had happened to the cicada seemingly.
In the yard, they say about 100 cicadas have adult eclosion every year.Only a few of them have some trouble in eclosion usually.
However, they found 8 mutated cicada and 11 cicada had troubles in adult eclosion this year.
However, they found 8 mutated cicada and 11 cicada had troubles in adult eclosion this year.
The reporter says some of them were eaten while they were checking,so actual mutated cicada may be more.
In total, more than 20% of cicada had DNA trouble this year, which is very abnormal.
